Please select the link below to visit the Fittleworth C of E First School web-site http://www.fittleworth.w-sussex.sch.uk/ Fittleworth Church of England First School is situated in a small village in a delightful rural setting. The school moved into a fine new building in 1990, relocating from a Victorian building situated nearby. The school is part of Petworth Area Schools (PAS) and works closely with all of the local schools, including pre-schools and Since then the number of children on roll has grown steadily, currently standing at 100. The children are aged 4 - 10 years transferring to a middle school at the end of Year 5. The school now has four classes and to accommodate these we have added a modern mobile classroom. The school fosters strong links with the community. The over 60's club came into school monthly to work with the children. We invite the 'Over 60's Club' to our Harvest Festival service and entertain them to tea afterwards with Year 5 children hosting these occasions. Gifts are then distributed to Senior Citizens. The 'Over 60's Club' and Pre-school groups are also invited to the dress rehearsal of the Christmas production and these occasions are greatly appreciated by the community. The school also organises the Summer and Christmas Fetes and the Village Firework Show to which all villagers are invited. |
