Monthly Summary

Keep up to date with Village News and Events

The Fittleworth and Stopham Village Magazine wishes you a

Happy New Year!

The January issue is now available.

This month find out What's On locally in January and what's been happening in Snippets. Find out information about past, present and future local events (including Jubilee party news), church and church 'Friends' information (thinking about New Year Resolutions this month), feature articles and a warming Spinach and Coconut soup recipe from Sally Wynn. Nature Matters refers to Antarctica and there's also news about councillors' roles from the Parish Council. A fascinating article tells us more about Social Care in 17th and 18th centuries in Fittleworth. Our Personality of the Month is Michael Elliot - known to a lot of villagers for his work with the Village Hall (and lottery) and the Fittleworth and District Association - as well as helping in the past with the Petworth Festival. News too, of a way to join a community event to do something about the traffic in Lower Street.

Of course our advertisers are there for you to contact when you need local help.

The Fittleworth and Stopham Magazine is available at 50p a copy, from St Mary's Church and The Swan Inn in Fittleworth, St Mary's Church and the café at the Garden Centre, Stopham and Sussex Farm Foods, Bury Gate. If you live locally and would like to have a subscription to the magazine delivered to you by our volunteers (at £6.00 per annum), would like a postal subscription, or have any other information for the magazine, please phone 01798 865563.
